Short biography

As a Mercator Fellow, Vanessa will be working on the design of evidence-based and human-centred solutions for social policy and initiatives to reduce social and economic inequalities. In doing so, she is particularly interested in exploring the ways in which behavioural science can contribute to the creation of a more inclusive societal model. Vanessa is a fellow of the German National Foundation and received an M.Sc. in Psychology of Economic Life from LSE. Recently, she had been researching social support and help-seeking across the socioeconomic gradient at Harvard Business School and gathered invaluable field experience in Costa Rica’s development sector.
