As a Mercator Fellow, Julia Link works to address the issue of sexualized border violence against migrants. She focuses on identifying political and legal measures that enable survivors of sexualized border violence to access justice and hold those responsible accountable. Julia holds an M.A. in Peace and Conflict Studies from Philipps University of Marburg, specializing in migration, gender and transitional justice. She gained work experience as a Protection Officer for a legal aid organization for refugees in Greece and at Human Rights Watch, among others.
