Mehdi Kocakahya examines global institutional frameworks for governing AI and how they align with national and regional approaches. He explores agile institutional structures and mechanisms that enable international cooperation.
Mehdi recently supported the international affairs and ICT standardization team at the European Commission and was a research fellow on AI Governance at the Stimson Center. Previously, he was a research assistant in Science and Technology at Georgetown University where he founded the Digital Tech Forum. He supported public and private digital transformation projects over six years and is an alumnus of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers.
