New Approaches to Multilateral Cooperation for Protecting and Promoting a Democratic Data Economy

Short biography

Julian Ringhof is committed to protecting and promoting liberal democratic values in a digitally connected world. Within the Mercator Kolleg, he is looking into new approaches to multilateral cooperation for a democratic regulation of the data economy. In addition, he would like to investigate how the joining of democratic partners to form a digital alliance can trigger democratization processes beyond this alliance. In his Master’s degree, Julian studied Technology Policy at the University of Cambridge. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of San Diego. Most recently, Julian worked in research management in the field of new mobility.
