Julia Jung studied International Relations Berlin and London as well as Political Sciences and Public Administration at the universities of Konstanz, Sciences Po Paris and Lingnan University in Hong Kong. Her professional experiences include, among others, the position of personal assistant to the country director in Nepal of the Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), support of the German COP21-delegation with the International Climate Initiative in Berlin and a research cooperation with GIZ in Benin, West Africa. During her Mercator fellowship, she will focus on how aspects of good governance can be combined with the field of climate change adaptation in vulnerable contexts.
