Project title

Psychology of international climate policy – creating dialogue spaces between frontline communities and decision-makers

Short biography

Janna Hoppmann is dedicated to the question of how psychological insights can improve the effectiveness of international climate policy. Her focus is on developing innovative dialogue formats in which decision-makers and frontline communities work together to develop solutions to the climate crisis. She wants to use psychological expertise to achieve more effective, globally fairer negotiation outcomes and strengthen the participation of those most affected.

After completing her MSc in Psychology at the Free University of Berlin, she founded the social business ClimateMind – the psychological training academy for climate and biodiversity in Europe. As a trainer, speaker and consultant, she has already strengthened the sustainability skills of more than 4,500 leaders.
