As a Mercator Fellow, Irina Siminichina investigates to what extent new technologies have the potential to support peacekeeping operations in the field and thus enable a focused assignment of personnel. Her goal is to develop policy-relevant measures as input for concrete, future-oriented policy-improvements to make PKOs more effective. Irina holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University Zurich and a Master in Comparative and International Studies from ETH Zurich, where she specialized in peace and conflict studies. She worked amongst others at the Chair for International Conflict Research at ETH and in multiple international corporations.
