Enabling the Global Phase-Out of Fossil Fuels: Managing Trade-Offs and Minimising Transition Risks

Short biography

Felix Heilmann’s work focuses on how the global transition away from fossil fuels can succeed, based on the premise that this requires solutions which enable a timely and just transition by also providing practical and concrete answers to overcome short- and medium-term trade-offs, such as affordability and energy security, and to minimise transition risks. Felix holds a BA (First Class) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MA in International Relations from Humboldt University in Berlin, and has been working on energy and climate policy issues in think tanks since 2019.
