Felix Heilmann focuses on enabling a successful global transition from fossil fuels to clean technologies in line with the critical goals of the Paris Agreement. His work explores the strategic, political, and practical challenges of this transition, and how they can be tackled through concrete solutions. Before beginning his Mercator Fellowship at the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy, Felix was a Senior Policy Analyst on climate policy at the think tank Dezernat Zukunft. He has also worked at Agora Energiewende and E3G. Felix holds a BA (First Class) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from the University of Oxford and an MA in International Relations from Humboldt University of Berlin, during which he spent a semester abroad at Tel Aviv University.
