Project Title: The potential of music in the context of global citizenship education

As a Mercator Fellow, Erik Eschweiler works on strengthening Global Citizenship Education (SDG 4.7) through Music. His focus lies on the analysis and development of peace education through music projects in schools. Erik studied history, school music and historical singing in Leipzig, Stockholm and Florence. Most recently he worked as a music and history teacher. He is actively involved in numerous transcultural music and school development projects. As a countertenor, he sings concerts with professional ensembles.
