As a Mercator Fellow Lena Jacobsen is engaged in the topic of Decolonizing Global Health within the field of One Health, focusing on antimicrobial resistance. She has gained work experience as a physician in child and adolescent psychiatry and in providing primary health care for refugees in Greece. Lena is passionate about advocating for health equity. She studied medicine in Hanover and Lisbon, completed her doctoral degree at the Hanover Medical School, and completed her M.Sc. in Global Health at the Karolinska Institutet in Stockholm.
