As a Mercator Fellow, Annika works at the exciting interface of digital health and mental health. Using a pilot app, she investigates how mobile health applications need to be designed to reduce stigmatization and improve diagnosis and therapy of mental disorders. She already gained experience with digital therapeutics during her work for the startup Newsenselab. To raise awareness for psychological disorders, Annika founded an initiative that educates young people on that topic. After her BSc in Biology at the Free University of Berlin she completed her MSc in Medical Neurosciences at the Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin.
