Short biography

As a Mercator Fellow, Ann-Sophie Leonard examines the intersection of defense and technology. During her fellowship year, she focuses on the deployment and strategic impact of Artificial Intelligence within the military. She gained professional experiences at the Federal Academy for Security Policy, the German Foreign Office and in strategy consulting. She was a student representative in the senate of the Evangelische Studienwerk Villigst. Ann-Sophie studied Politics, Administration and International Relations at Zeppelin University with experiences abroad in Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. Subsequently, she completed a Double Master’s Degree in International Security and Strategic Studies in Great Britain and Singapore.
