As a Mercator fellow, Angela Honegger works on the acceleration of innovation for basic needs to improve the quality of life of people in poverty. She did her doctorate on affordable innovation development, focusing on the accelerator role of NGOs. Prior to that, she studied International Management, Finance, and International Relations in St. Gallen and Paris with a stint abroad in China.
Angela led a consultancy for sustainable startups for three years and was most recently organizing an innovation accelerator for sustainable packaging solutions at Ashoka. She heads the WEF Global Shapers in the DACH region as well as the Swiss hub of the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership.
