As a Mercator Fellow, Priya Mohanty aims to challenge prevailing development paradigms in an effort to decolonize international cooperation. Specifically, she will explore co-creative approaches to “community-led development” and their integration into the prevailing discourse. By doing so, she critically examines historical power dynamics and their consequences for today’s international cooperation.
Priya gained work experience at swisspeace, GIZ India and ETH Zurich, among others. Priya holds an M.Sc. in Development Studies from SOAS, University of London and a B.A. in International Affairs from the University of St. Gallen.
