Project title

Challenges and digital solutions of the circular economy and its impact on global economic relations using e-waste as an example

Short biography

As a Mercator Fellow, Cornelia will focus on the circular economy and explore the potential of digital solutions. She also wants to investigate the effects of a circular transformation on global economic relations and value chains as she is particularly interested in sustainability at the crossroads of technology, business and society.
Cornelia studied Industrial Engineering (M.Sc.) at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology with an accompanying study in sustainable development as well as in Santiago de Chile. After graduating, she worked as an IT Asset Manager for Cybersecurity Services at Siemens Mobility GmbH, where she had previously gained work experience in Hong Kong.
